Frank Eakin is executive producer of Eakin Films and Publishing. His current project is the audiobook, e-book and paperback of Twelve Years a Slave, the slave narrative that became the lifetime project of his mother, noted writer and historian Sue Eakin, who completed her final definitive edition at age 88 in 2007. The audiobook is performed by Academy Award winner Louis Gossett Jr., and was recognized as an Amazon/Audible Best of 2013 Editor's Pick and Downpour/BBC Editor's Pick.

Ashley Elston is the daughter of an attorney and grew up surrounded by talk of court cases, crazy clients and the law in general — all of which triggered the ideas in The Rules for Disappearing. She has a liberal arts degree from Louisiana State University and lives in Shreveport, La., with her husband and three young sons.
Pamela Binnings Ewen practiced law for 25 years before following in the authorial footsteps of relatives James Lee Burke (The Glass Rainbow) and Andre Dubus III (The House of Sand and Fog) with novels such as The Moon in the Mango Tree, winner of the Eudora Welty Memorial Award in the 2012 Biennial Letters competition. Her third work of fiction, Dancing on Glass, won the 2012 Single Titles Reviewers Choice Award and was a Christy Award finalist.
