Marian D. Moore

Biography

Marian D. Moore grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, and works in the city of New Orleans. An early reader, her parents encouraged a love of both science and literature. She’s been a member of two writing workshops: one led by activist and writer Kalamu ya Salaam and one led by author George Alec Effinger. Her book of poetry, Louisiana Midrash, was published by UNO Press/Runagate in January 2019.
