Shannon Kelley Atwater is a New Orleans based author-illustrator. She paints in traditional mediums, mostly watercolors. When she's not working on books, you can find her dressed as a larger-than-life flower with Krewe des Fleurs. Atwater’s other books that have previously been featured at the Louisiana Book Festival are Alligators Don't Like Flowers and Goodnight Pothole.
