Denise Wiltz-Underwood, a proud native of Rayne, Louisiana, has been a devoted book lover from an early age and was inspired by her beloved grandchildren to write her debut children’s book. Wiltz-Underwood believes in the power of books to capture the hearts and minds of readers and never let go. After serving three decades in the military, the retired Sergeant Major is a trainer and consultant and operates the Historic Maison Daboval Bed & Breakfast in her hometown.
