James G. Thomas, Jr.James G. Thomas Jr. is associate director for publications at the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi. Since 2003, he has been managing editor of the recently completed 24-volume New Encyclopedia of Southern Culture. He and Charles Reagan Wilson edited the Science & Medicine volume (22) of the series. Thomas has worked as an editor on publications in New York and Oxford, Miss., where he lives with his wife and daughter.
Poppy TookerPoppy Tooker is the popular host of the radio show Louisiana Eats! and the television show Eat It to Save It! She is a classically trained chef and cooking teacher who is passionate about food and the people who make it. She is tireless in her efforts to preserve and restore the food traditions of her beloved home. Tooker strives to educate readers on the importance of reviving foods that are pivotal to the cultures of New Orleans and Louisiana.
Susan TuckerSusan Tucker is curator of books and records for the Newcomb Archives and Vorhoff Library at Tulane University. She authored Telling Memories among Southern Women and other works on material and archival cultures.
Carolyn TurgeonCarolyn Turgeon authored Rain Village, Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story, Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale and the young adult novel The Next Full Moon. She is the editor of Mermaids, a special edition annual magazine, and teaches writing in the low-residency MFA program at the University of Alaska at Anchorage.
