Biography

Johnette Downing is a multi-award-winning author and musician performing music and presenting books with Louisiana spice for children globally. She has received 20 awards and has brought her Louisiana musical and literary gumbo to children in Egypt, Morocco, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatemala and throughout the U.S. Her books include Today is Monday in Louisiana, Down in Louisiana, My Aunt Came Back from Louisiane and Why the Crawfish Lives in the Mud.
