In addition to parking along the street, you will find parking lots near the Capitol. The Galvez Parking Garage and the Welcome Center Parking Garage (see our Overview Map), will be available as well. Directions below...
FOR PARKING CLOSEST TO THE CAPITOL...
From I-110 north or southbound, exit Capitol Access Drive and follow signs to the Capitol.
FOR PARKING CLOSEST TO THE STATE LIBRARY OF LOUISIANA...
From I-110 northbound, take Exit 1D at North Street and travel west (toward the Mississippi River) .3 miles to the Galvez Parking Garage which will be on your left. Parking is free before 3:00 p.m. Thereafter, parking will be $3.00. The Welcome Center Parking Garage, located at the corner of North and Lafayette streets, will be $3.00 all day.The LaSalle Parking Garage is a card-access only garage and therefore will be unavailable.
