Christina Vella holds a doctorate in modern European history from Tulane University, where she is currently Visiting Professor. A consultant for the U.S. State Department, she lives in New Orleans and lectures extensively around the country. She is the author of several books, including
Intimate Enemies: The Two Worlds of the Baroness de Pontalba. She has just completed a biography of George Washington Carver and is working on a book about Mustapha Kemal Ataturk.
