The WordPlay Youth Spoken Word Showcase

Nicole Shaw was born on July 6, 1993, in New Orleans, La. She is a senior at McKinley Senior High School and enjoys English. She was rewarded Academic All American her freshman year. She first got into writing poetry when she was a sophomore in high school, where she watched her cousin write and perform his first poem, and from then on she was inspired to be like him, but strives beyond.
