Henry Cancienne has photographed his native Louisiana for many decades, finding inspiration in the cypress swamps and sugar cane fields, the bald eagles of Bayou Lafourche, the butterfly shrimp trawlers, the weathered Creole and Acadian cottages and magnificent plantations, Gulf beaches, and the interesting people encountered along the way. Cancienne's photographs have been published in Southern Breeze, Country Discoveries, Country Roads, Jewish Living, various local newspapers and tourist brochures, and are featured in several forthcoming books.
